Fruit Cocktail:

Kick Start the Day

by Lenny Hirsch

I usually start the day with a fruit and vegetable cocktail. I found that by drinking the cocktail I have more energy and am in a better mood to face the day’s possible tribulations.

The cocktail contains most of the recommended fresh produce that one should consume. Some " nutrition experts" say that the freshly extracted juice is good for one’s health. The produce in my " cocktail" is rich in antioxidants.

Three months after starting to drink the cocktail my PSA has dropped after climbing for a year. I am not sure why it has dropped. Maybe the flood of antioxidants helped?

Equipment

Juice extractor

Ingredients

1 large scraped carrot
1 tomato
1 apple
slice of peeled melon (cantaloupe)
2 or 3 florets of broccoli
1 stick of celery
slice of cabbage (kale)
grapes
pear and any other available fruit

Pass the ingredients through the juicer and drink the juice immediately. Freshly extracted juice looses its goodness almost immediately.
