We traveled together through the Arctic in 1989. At time, in Soviet Far East, Magaden,Providenya, and then on to the Canadian Arctic. Nick stood by me through some very tough times. Now at 54, I have now had prostate cancer, with a radical prostectomy at John Hopkins in December 2004, and now a stroke last week. I can only say that travel, passion, and a sense of great joy no matter what state your body is in is the answer. If I may be of any service to help get through, just let me know. This last weekend I was back canoeing a river in Florida, and planning a scuba trip for January. Bright Spirits like Nick made every day with him, the best day of my life.
